A security industry cover letter should show authority and skills, matching what it takes to be a good security officer.  Security guard resumes can range from simple mall security to high-level, top-secret clearance security at government facilities. So, for you to write an effective cover letter, there are a few points to remember.

Showcase your customer service skills. Employers aren’t only looking for physically fit candidate, they are also looking for people who have excellent customer service skills. A big part of a security job is dealing and helping people in your assigned area. A lot of people will comp up to you to ask questions, or approach you for assistance. On your cover letter, make sure to not any customer service experience. Discuss how these skills and experiences help you become a better security officer.

Be confident! Let them know you are the perfect fit for the job. Show them that you are ready and aware of all the responsibilities undertaken by a security personnel. It shows during your interview and you'll be able to leave a long lasting first impression that will get you to stand out from the rest and get hired.
