Writing the perfect cover letter is essential in any successful job hunt. You might’ve listed down all your experiences in your resume, but your cover letter is there to boost those qualifications. This is much more relevant in the law sector. Highlighting the right parts of your resume and expanding upon them will be deciding factor of you getting the job or not.

Not sure what skills and experiences should you be featuring? Pick at least 3 of the qualities mentioned in the job application and briefly refer to them in your cover letter; they should already be listed in your CV.

Apart from your skills, tell a story to the recruiter. What brought you to this company? Do you sometimes pull into the parking lot and daydream about what it would feel like to work there? Stories bring your background and experiences to life, so feel free to tell them.

Accompanying with your stories, include testimonials from co-workers, bosses or clients. Find a seamless way to integrate a positive quote from a previous manager or client is to use it as evidence of your passion for your area of expertise.
